For Elan.
An unexpected kindness,
This unseen intuition.
Ever present smile says
Don’t be so serious
Accepting and relaxed
Forgiveness –themed philosophy
Speaks volumes of compassion
Rejecting slants of lethargy.
Chosen insightful naïveté
Bears friendly fruits
Contagious happiness
Healing scarred wounds
No need to explain himself
To those who do not ask
A wasted life is one
Whose impact does not last.

A Short Poem About My Favorite

Nurturing mother
Intelligence brimming sense of humor
Killer of the hearts; always gorgeous
Kindness infused mantra
Intuition inspired empathy
Nostalgia saddened days
Ending in love filled nights
When it is dark, you are light
Meaning the world to those you love
Always sharing strength
Never selfish; never mean.
♥ Remember who you are (it's more than enough).

Cynical Conclusion

Slightest touch of breeze upon my face
Faintest wafting scent upon the air
Almost imagined whispered song
Hinted caress’ pressure on my skin
It’s where you must have been
Familiar aching, straining heart
Sinking defeated soul’s despair
Recurring hopeless lethargy
Blinding broken willful fight
You’re more than out of sight
No resilience resonating now
Drained desire to connect
Fatalistic -inspired apathy
Another brick in wall of self defense
To love again does not make sense
